The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has warned of power outages in several areas across the country on Thursday, May 16.
In a statement on Wednesday evening, the company announced that some areas in five counties of Kenya will experience power cuts between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Counties affected by the power outages include Nairobi, West Pokot, Kisumu, Nyeri, and Laikipia.
In Nairobi County, several areas including Parklands, Mutuini, and Kabiria will experience power cuts between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Some parts of Ortum and Sigor areas in West Pokot County will experience power outages between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Several parts of Obumba and Chiga Hospital areas in Kisumu County will be affected by power outages between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
In Nyeri County, some areas including Marua and Muruguru will be affected by power outages between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Meanwhile, several areas in Mukima, Khe, and Nyariginu in Laikipia County will also be affected by power cuts.
