South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro has joined other MPs in declining the Division of Revenue Bill proposed by the Senate. South Mugirango MP says governors do not use county funds on developments.  Osoro, speaking before the National Assembly on Monday, May 13, opposed the proposed bill, which called for an increase in county revenue. Osoro argued that instead of adding revenues to the counties the committee should instead discuss how to add more funds to the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF)  He further argued that money cannot be added to counties because, according to him, governors are not making tangible changes in their counties. “You’ll need a microscope to identify what governors do. The only development these guys are doing is traveling with a convoy of twenty vehicles with chairs, carpets, goons, and girlfriends disrupting funerals,’ he said 2 UDA MPs reject taxes levied on farmers Earlier, on Tuesday March 5, Gatanga and Kandara Members of Parliament Edward Muriu and Chege Njunguna rallied behind avocado farmers to reject a section of the Finance Act 2023 months after enthusiastically voting for the document.
