A Nigerian man arrested in mombasa with cocaine worth 600k |
Detectives in Mombasa have arrested a Nigerian national in possession of 200 grams of cocaine estimated to have a street value of Ksh.600,000.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect identified as Victor Chineye Ikone was arrested at White House Apartments in Utange-Kisauni area in an intelligence-led operation.
“Search conducted in the house saw the seizure of the white powdery crack discreetly wrapped in a polythene bag inside a drawer in his bedroom.”
“Presumptive tests ran confirmed that the concealed powder was indeed cocaine, which was stashed alongside suspected repackaging materials,” said the DCI.
Also recovered from the apartment were assorted SIM cards from various service providers.
The suspect was escorted to Port Police Station for processing ahead of arraignment.
