Deputy Speaker of the Kenya National Assembly Gladys Boss Shollei has shared how she fell in love and married a man she dated while at university after divorcing her first husband. Gladys Shollei, who married Neil Horn (l), the couple at their wedding (r). What is the name of Boss Shollei’s Mzungu hubby? According to the Uasin Gishu woman representative, she was blessed with four children by the time she married her current Mzungu husband, Neil Horn. “I moved on and got married to someone I always knew; I dated him before when I was at the University of Capetown,” said Shollei on TV 47. The legislator said her friends and event organiser helped her plan a cute wedding. She also talked about the dicey subject of work-life balance, which is usually a problem for many women. “It will balance; think of our grandmothers and mothers they used to carry water on the head, baby in her womb, child on her back and she still shakes people’s hands. African women are phenomenal; they have been balancing work and raising families all their lives,” she said. Shollei says judiciary wasn’t ready for change The MP, who works extremely hard, said if she went back in time, she would be more confident and less harsh on herself.  “I don’t give myself enough credit. I have always wanted things to work perfectly; I work extremely hard. When you go to an organisation, it is very important to know about the people. Part of the regrets I have about the judiciary was I should have sat down and asked myself, do they want this transformation?” she said of her time at the helm of the judiciary. Kenyans react to Shollei’s nuptials: user4799858172406: “Who will tell this woman that she is my role model……that letter to her first husband was phenomenal .” Sue: “My love for this woman.'” Eunice Kenei: “Hi boss woman of Eldoret missed you so much.” Daisy@Dahascollection: “She is out of that cocoon that most are trapped in.” Biashara zetu 101: “Reason they say marry early divorce early .hii life atleast jaribu ndoa mbili mimi ata moja issa no.” Lus: “Nikuoga nakurudi soko.
