Stephen Letoo's cake wows Kenyans The Citizen TV journalist and his longtime partner, Irene Renoi, tied the knot in a colourful public wedding at the Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok county on Saturday, April 20.  Netizens shared their different opinions on the couple's cake, with many praising the baker for doing a great job. While addressing guests at the packed stadium, Citizen TV journalist Swaleh Mdoe poked fun at his colleague, Letoo, claiming the polygamy advocate would marry more wives. Who's the baker of Stephen Letoo's wedding cake? Phyllis Auma of Palsey Cakes and Pastries, the main baker contacted for the job, revealed how much the giant lion cake cost. She disclosed that the journalist's wedding committee had settled for a stadium cake before switching to a lion. "The stadium cake was KSh 477,000, and the committee asked us to do a lion instead and other small cakes. The lion cost KSh 150,000," Auma told TUKO.co.ke. The award-winning baker revealed she brought two of her friends, Julius of Almasi Art and Derrick of Smart Baking Kenya, to help her bake the cake.  Asked how long it took them to bake, she said: "It took us a day to bake and two days to decorate. We transported it from nairobi to Narok using a car." The experienced baker said while transporting cakes from one place to another, they are always careful and carry an emergency pack so that in case of any damage, they fix it. Auma was recommended by some of Letoo's committee members, who tasted my cake a few months ago when I baked for an official in Narok county. "They booked me in January but never told me who the cake was for untill March when I was told it was or Letoo," she revealed. "Before the wedding, I spoke to Letoo, and he gave me all the details he wanted on the cake," she added. Auma and her fellow bakers are set to compete in next week's Baker of the Year Award.  Commenting on his cake, Letoo told TUKO.co.ke: "They baked a delicious cake, and I loved it. They did a good job , and the presentation was great."
