Chess Kenya President Bernard Wanjala is now rallying for support as the national chess team gears up for the upcoming Africa Championship.
“With the tournament on the horizon it is important that we give the team all the support needed from all quarters to ensure we succeed on the continental stage. Support by the government is particularly important in facilitating logistics such as processing travel tickets through the Ministry,” said Wanjala.

Jadon Simiyu and Chebet Staicy led in Under-12 categories as Kyle Kuka hit 27 points to secure a top spot in the Under-14. Shukri Shakira managed 22 points in the same category.
