The only way I can continue my father´s legacy is by actualising my plan on rehabilitating schools, building churches among other things we had planned with him, Joel Rabuku has said.
Speaking at the burial ceremony of the father, the late Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis, Rabuku told mourners that one does not need to be a politician to make a difference in your community or country.
“I had an elaborate plan that in the next two or three years all these primary schools in Nyanza will be fully rehabilitated. You don’t have to be a politician, to make a difference in your country. Kelele ni mingi, lakini kazi saa zengine ni kidogo and that one am not afraid of saying.“ Said Joel Rabuku.
He noted that the President William Ruto and the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had a very close relationship with his father the late Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla Rabuku.
He promised to start his plan to rehabilitate schools with Obama K´Ogello Primary School in Ngi´ya Village, Siaya County.
“Nitawaita mufungue shule na kanisa hadi museme, hii imetosha.“ Said Joel Rabuku.
Rabuku also warned bloggers to be sensitive when breaking news citing that what happened on social media on Thursday afternoon when the helicopter carrying Gen Ogolla crashed in Elgeyo Marakwet was insensitive.
