Former Miss Kenya Emma Too has launched a vigourous defense of her friend, Annie Sumbeiywo who is the new wife to Hot96 presenter Nick Odhiambo.
In her passionate message on Twitter, the former model called out people who had been spreading lies on the app about Ann.
“Why does this platform thrive on gossip and rumors?!!! Why do we abuse a platform that can do more good than harm?!
Why we thrive on spreading lies and hurting others and to what end? For likes? What do this likes do for your livelihood? If you want likes do some good in the world that touch’s the lives of others, don’t thrive on destroying the lives of others with ‘likes’.”
She then went on to tell the people spreading the malicious lies to leave her friend out of it as Annie out of their evilness.
“That said leave my sister Annie out of your wickedness. She’s a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. She’s an accomplished woman in her own right, dragging her name on X with pics of another woman is completely unacceptable.”
She then urged Nick to set the record straight about the explicit messages that have been doing the rounds.
“Our in law needs to set the record straight that the viral WhatsApp message is about his past and not is present,” Emma said.
She finished by asking for whoever had started the madness to issue an apology.
“Whomever is responsible needs to come out and apologize to her and set the record straight, I won’t standby and watch you destroy a virtuous woman whom I love and care about.”
For the record, Nick has already come out to speak about the explicit image with a full-on explanation.
