According to a Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) report, her phone signal was last recorded in Kathoge, Kirinyaga County, at 2 am. "She left the house at around 1 to 2 pm, although she didn't mention the name of the friend she was meeting before proceeding to work," the source said. Peris's last Facebook post Peris was an active social media user with over 4,000 Facebook followers, but her online presence has also flamed out. In her last Facebook post on February 25, at 3.04 pm, she complained that her body needed a treat "My body aches, yaani nyama za mwili zinauma. Nani ako na dawa?" read part of the post. The missing person's report was filed at Chuka Police Station vide OB number 36/4/03/2024. Family and friends of the missing woman have since recorded statements with the DCI.
