Safaricom Issues Warning Against False Job Advertisements Circulating Online

 

Safaricom PLC, along with its associated entities M-Pesa Foundation and Safaricom Foundation, has issued a public notice cautioning individuals against false job advertisements circulating on various online platforms. Peter Ndegwa is the CEO Safaricom PLC. Safaricom has warned against fraudulent job advertisements. The notice clarifies that neither the M-Pesa Foundation nor the Safaricom Foundation are currently engaged in any active recruitment processes for new positions. It emphasises that the Foundations adhere to a strict and established recruitment procedure, with all job vacancies being officially posted on Safaricom PLC's official website.Does Safaricom charge fees for jobs? The announcement by Safaricom noted that at no stage of the recruitment process do the Foundations solicit payments from potential candidates. Any requests for monetary transactions or personal information should be treated with suspicion and promptly reported. "Additionally, at no stage of the recruitment process do we require our potential candidates to make payments of any kind. We therefore urge the public to ignore any purported recruitment being carried out on behalf of M-Pesa or Safaricom Foundations and to avoid sending money or personal information to anyone claiming to operate on our behalf," read the notice in part. The public is urged to exercise vigilance and discretion when encountering purported job advertisements allegedly affiliated with M-Pesa Foundation or Safaricom Foundation.  Individuals are advised against responding to such advertisements, as well as refraining from sharing any sensitive personal or financial details with unauthorized parties.
