Lang’ata Women’s Prison catches fire

 

Panic gripped Langata Women's Prison after a fire outbreak that occurred on Monday.

While confirming the incident, the Kenya Red Cross assured citizens that efforts to extinguish the fire are currently underway.

By the time of publishing this story, authorities were yet to disclose the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire.

Another fire incident

The latest came hours after a fire broke out at the Nacico Co. Chambers Building along Moi Avenue in Nairobi.

According to reports, the fire started at one of the shops in the building situated near Imenti House.

Police arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire, the incident forced businesses close to the building to shut down.
