Kelvin Kiptum's Alleged Lover Says She Dated Him Fully Aware He Was Married: "Alikuwa boyfriend"
The woman claiming to be late marathoner Kelvin Kiptum's baby mama has revealed that she got involved with him romantically while fully aware of his marital status. Kelvin Kiptum's baby mama claimed that they started dating in 2019. Edna Owuor, who was thrust into the limelight a day before Kiptum's internment after the court declined to stop his burial as she had demanded, opened up about the dynamic of her relationship with him. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke's producer King'ori Wangechi, Edna revealed she and Kiptum started being in a relationship in 2019 while he was still married. The woman revealed that Kiptum would spend nearly all weekdays with her, and they were even cohabiting in her house. She claimed he would go to his wife's house on nights or weekends. "Monday to to Friday from 3am he was always here. He was a loving and caring person. He never treated me with any disdain just because he had a wife. I actually have met his wife before. Sometimes, she would call me and ask me about Kelvin's whereabouts," she said. The woman explained they were just boyfriend and girlfriend to one another as they did not have immediate plans to get married officially. Did Kiptum's wife know about Edna? Edna revealed that at first when his wife Asenath found out about their relationship, she was furious and even allegedly insulted her. "At first when she found out that I was with Kelvin, she was insolent towards me. But she later accepted and stopped insulting me," she added, insisting that Asenath and Kiptum's parents knew about her. She claimed that she put her education on hold to take care of her daughter with Kiptum. "After our baby was born, Kiptum told me himself that I should first stay home and take care of our child and promised to take me to school later," she said. Edna says Kiptum wasn't a deadbeat A few weeks ago, Owuor reiterated that the runner was the father of her child, aged one year and seven months. The lady said that at no moment did Kiptum fail to honour his fatherly responsibilities. "He kept providing for the child since I gave birth until the time when he passed away. We even spoke with the dad on Sunday, and he had promised to bring me some cash on the fateful Sunday that he died in the accident," she said
