Jowie Irungu's Female Fan's Message to Him Before Death Sentence: "Believe Sins Are Forgiven"

A Kenyan woman using the Instagram handle @maureen_inchrist's message has emerged amid Jowi Irungu's death sentence for killing businesswoman Monica Kimani. Maureen encouraged Jowie to be safe ahead of his sentencing that was issued on March 13.  How Kenyan woman encouraged Jowie Irungu High Court Judge Grace Nzioka read the submissions issued to her by the different parties involved in the businesswoman's murder. Maureen wrote: "This world may declare you guilty, but remember there is one who loves you and gave His life to you. The most important is for you to know and accept the love of God shown to us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Believe that all your sins are forgiven, and through his resurrection, you stand justified. This is the grace of God shown to everyone, for He died for the whole world. Believe and receive the free gift of salvation. God is faithful, and He will never leave you or forsake you. Never forget that."Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Jowie's pastor, Bishop Shadrack Oloo, pleaded with the court for a lenient sentence, claiming that the singer had responsibilities in the church. Bishop Shadrack Oloo of Agape Sanctuary church, Jowie's pastor, described him as an ardent member of the church who related well with other Christians. The judge noted that Jowie's pastor said he was steadfast in faith and, at the time of his arrest, was the choirmaster in the church.
