Former presidetial aspirant and busineeman Jimi Wanjigi has dismissed efforts by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to succeed ODM leader Raila Odinga as the leader of the opposition. Jimi Wanjigi (pictured) said the opposition leadership was not representing Kenyans well. Wanjigi: Why Kalonzo is unfit to succeed Raila Odinga During a press conference on Sunday, March 3, Wanjigi criticised the former vice president's candidature, saying he has nothing new to offer. According to Wanjigi, the Wiper leader should borrow a cue from the former prime minister and retire from active politics. The busiessman argued that seasoed politicains are part of the Kenya's problems ad that they should exit the political stage to pave way for new leaders. "Kalonzo Musyoka has hit the road positioning himself to take over leadership, but he should just take the cue from Raila and retire. He has nothing new to offer Kenyans and instead should usher in a new leadership in his own Wiper party," Wanjigi said. Wanjigi further slammed the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leadership for shifting their focus to Raila's African Union Commission's chairmanship position instead of fighting for the issues afecting Kenyans. “What I don’t understand, however, is why since his (Raila) declaration, the people’s agenda, which we were made to believe, his coalition was championing, has been put on hold, and now the focus is on; if and when he takes the seat, who is going to benefit and how,” he added.
