Embakasi: Cries, Pain as Night Fire Razes Down Children's Home
Once again, the Embakasi East constituency has fallen victim to a devastating fire incident. A woman looks from a balcony at the heavily damaged houses and shops, a day after a gas explosion in the Embakasi area of Nairobi (Picture for illustration). When did the Embakasi fire start? On Monday, March 4, Member of Parliament Babu Owino shared distressing news regarding the unfortunate event. Babu disclosed that a fire had engulfed a children's home in the Mradi area, rendering dozens of children homeless. "Sad news as Fire razed down a Children’s Home in Mradi, Embakasi. The helpless kids have been left homeless," said Babu. The legislator showed profound empathy for the children and residents of the house as he recited from the Bible to uplift their spirits. "JOHN 16:33-I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. Continue Praying for us in Embakasi East," the lawmaker pleaded. In the heartbreaking video, the anguished cries of a woman echoed, her pain palpable as she desperately sought guidance from unknown individuals amidst the devastation caused by the fire. Amidst the chaos, another voice expressed sorrow, questioning the futility of the woman's tears in the face of the irreparable loss of property consumed by the merciless flames. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
