Bodies of two men found dumped on Kamiti prison farm

Detectives are investigating the murder of two men whose bodies were found dumped at the Kamiti Prisons farm in Kahawa West, Nairobi.

A local called the police to report that he had spotted the bodies of two middle-aged men in a thicket within the farm on Saturday, March 9, in the afternoon.

The bodies were naked, with blood oozing from injuries inflicted on them.

According to the police, the bodies appeared to have been there for more than two days, as they had started to rot.

They were lying in a prone position with injuries to their faces and heads.

Blood stains nearby suggested that they had been dragged to the scene.

A bunch of keys were found near the place where the bodies were lying.

Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said they are yet to identify the victims.

"We will conduct an autopsy to establish how the two died," he said.

The bodies are lying at the mortuary as police call on those whose relatives are missing to report at the City Mortuary as part of efforts to solve the issue.

“We are yet to establish the motive for now."

Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed and killed in a fight in the Kariadudu area, Ruaraka.

Witnesses said three men were arguing and seemed to disagree when a fight erupted.

One of them removed a knife that was hidden on his clothes and stabbed the other on the left side of the chest once, leaving him with a deep cut as he and the third man ran away.

The victim was rushed to the Babadogo dispensary by the police and the public who had responded to the distress call where he died while undergoing treatment.

Police said they are looking for the attackers to establish the motive and face charges.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.

Cases of murder are on the rise amid calls from authorities for parties to solve differences amicably.
