Faith Akinyi, a lower-class primary school teacher from Kisumu, has found herself in a harrowing situation. Akinyi’s husband left Her heartbreaking story was brought to the attention of TUKO.co.ke by social media influencer and businessman Ken Kelly Rodgers Odinga. The distressed educator disclosed that she has been battling to support her family amidst mounting challenges. Her plight is exacerbated by the fact that her husband abandoned them, leaving her to shoulder the responsibilities of caring for their two children alone. The situation has forced her to beg for food in her neighbourhood, a humbling act she never imagined she would have to do. “It bothers me to borrow, but that is the only last resort I have,” she lamented. Adding to her burdens, her ailing father has taken custody of her children, further deepening her sense of loss and helplessness. She is pleading desperately for any job opportunity in Kisumu that would enable her to support her children and her father. “I am willing to do any honest work to provide for my family. I appeal to anyone with a job opportunity to consider me,” she pleaded. Expert Advises Akinyi hopes that her story will reach a well-wisher who will offer the urgent support and opportunities she currently needs.
