St. Paul’s University was illuminated with candles as students gathered for a heartfelt candlelight ceremony in honour of their fallen comrades in KU. St Paul’s University students held a candle-lighting ceremony in honour of KU students who perished in a road accident.  Why did the students hold candle lighting ceremony? The candlelight ceremony came in the wake of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of 11 students from Kenyatta University. In a video posted on TikTok by user @bernard_e1, St. Paul’s University students lit candles and arranged them in the shape of a heart, with the letters ‘KU’ delicately placed within. We stand with KU.” As the flickering flames danced in the night, casting shadows on the faces of those gathered, they symbolized the enduring spirit of unity. Amidst the hushed murmurs and solemn prayers, stories were shared, memories cherished, and tears shed for those who were taken too soon.
