Wife of Kelvin Kiptum's Coach Breaks Down During Burial, Says He Bought Her Land in Rwanda

 

The wife of Kelvin Kiptum's coach, Gervais Hakizimana, has revealed that he was planning to build her a house in Rwanda before his sudden death alongside his client. In a tearful tribute during a church service to celebrate him, Joab Chelimo said he was always there for her and asked her to give him until April so that he could honour some pledges to her. "He wanted to build a land here in Rwanda because he had already built a house for us. He was also a very determined man, he also had plans to build a training camp in Chepkorio, Marakwet county" shared Chelimo. "He was a go-getter; when he wanted something he really went for it. He was a very intelligent person, it is very difficult for me to do anything without him. My life has crushed and I don't know where to start from," she added. How many kids did Chelimo and Gervais have? According to Chelimo, her husband also wanted her to take their daughter to a catholic school where she believed that she would get the best nurturing. "I want my daughter to be raised a Catholic in her father's house," she said. Friends and family thronged the church service where his life was celebrated; later on went to bury him at the cemetery. Also among the crows was a delegation from the Kenyan Ministry of Sports, led by Minister Ababu Tawfiq Pius Namwamba.
