Political leaders have been captured cosying up to their rivals at the height of political tensions amid division among their supporters. On Friday, February 9, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Senator Gloria Orwoba came together for a worthy course. The two leaders donated sanitary towels to the victims of the Embakasi gas explosion that killed at least three people and injured more than 250 residents. "Thank you, Sen. Babu lauded Orwoba for her kind gesture after she donated sanitary towels to the gas explosion victims, adding that leadership is about others. "First, honourable, I am very grateful for how you have helped us in Embakasi. Here, we are just moving around Embakasi, looking at these houses that were burned; the fire victims should at least be taken care of. You have done great by giving us sanitary towels. This is amazing, thank you so much. Leadership is about others," he said. On her part, Orwoba noted that they were a new crop of leaders in Kenya, adding that they must strive to do better.
