Thika Magistrate Sheds Tears as Locals Surprise Her with Flowers, Gifts for Doing Good Job

The residents, who included activists and artistes, presented her with flowers and a special song. Expert Advises "Valentine's Day is all about love. It is all about spreading love. We wanted to share our love with her. We wanted her (Stella Atambo) to see how much we appreciated her good job. Many a time, these magistrates are never appreciated by the public," said one of the artistes. PIn a now-viral video shared by Citizen TV, the artiste urged his colleagues to come forward and appreciate people doing their work well. How Stella Atambo reacted to the surprise On her part, Atambo said that she was shocked by the development. "I don't know what to do. I didn't know about it. I just reported to work, and this is what I found. It is the first time that after you have done your work as a judicial officer, someone will come back to say thank you in such a manner," she said.  According to Atambo, as a judicial officer, what matters to her is that she has done the right thing. "You have done your work; the day is over, and you are satisfied that you have done your best, which is giving your best. I didn't expect this. I am humbled, to say the least," Atambo explained. Why a law graduate appeared before Stella Atambo TUKO.co.ke previously reported that a law graduate waiting to be enrolled to the roll of Advocates of the High Court nearly put her career in jeopardy after masquerading as a certified counsel in a Thika Court. The lawyer who completed her Bachelors of Law Degree and the statutory post-graduate law diploma at the Kenya School of Law got herself into trouble after addressing Atambo, masquerading as a certified Advocate of the High Court. Atambo was shocked to find out that the lawyer who identified herself as June Wambui and was going on record for a client had not been enrolled to the roll of advocates and did not have a law practising certificate.
