Former model Thee Pluto lost his that had close to one million followers in 2023.

In September, the forex trader announced to his followers that he had opened another account while expressing his disappointment at having to start again. He questioned the motive behind the ban.

"So guys mimi sijui nilie, sijui nifanye nini. My TikTok account of 977,000 followers has been banned. Ehh, wee, ghai! Watu wangu nimekua kwa ofisi mi nimetoka nikaambia Mathenge wacha tu tuchukue long drive kidogo maze,"

"So there is a new account, ile ingine nimetumana appeal," he said.

Content creator Njoki Murira also lost hers in November 2023 which had 2.7 million followers. The pain at suffering such a setback was announced on her Instagram where she wrote,

"When TikTok try you. My main account is on temporary suspension; there is a possibility,"  she said disputing their actions.

She appealed to her online community to be patient as the issues were sorted out.

"Don't get it twisted TikTok is for fun, but I do earn from it. You can make videos for fun, and you can go live for fun too. It's up to you."
