Maina Kageni: Can women survive without men?

 

A woman made a call to radio personality Maina Kageni, claiming that women cannot live without men.

While his co-host Mwalimu King'ang'i was in support of the lady, Kageni said women can live with or without men.

"Yesterday a lady called and claimed that women need men and cannot survive without men," he stated, adding "Ladies, is that woman speaking on your behalf?" He asked

Kingangi said "Finally, what she said is true"

A caller said;

"These ladies keep saying they don't need us but women who are in their 40s and 50s, they are looking for me, whether it's young or men. Have you ever heard some of these women saying they are done and they want to go be nuns? They need us badly, there's a gap that a man fills."

Another caller said;

"It is a true story. We need these guys Maina. Hata kama ni kale kanakaanga nje ya gate kanacount watu, because hautachokozwa kwa sababu uko nanmzee."

A caller called Mary from Ongata Rongai added;

"That's a total lie, the only thing I know you can LIVE without is God and oxygen. I have got no man and I am living and I am paying my bills and I am happy. I will not stress over the fact that I don't have a man in my life."

A caller;

"Kuna wasichana wengi sana hii Kenya than wanaume and most of them hawana kazi and they are living in Nairobi, if men were faithful, how would they live in Nairobi. And there are women with big jobs who need the men to receive respect. A man figure in a woman's life means a lot to them."

June: no one gender is perfect than the other. We all need each other. I as an unmarried woman I need a man, not just for procreation but for companionship with all the perks he comes with I come with mine as well.
