Alice Kamau, a young woman selling uji power at Kimbo in Ruiru, has grown the business a month after her TUKO.co.ke interview went viral. Alice Kamau's business has grown since speaking to TUKO.co.ke. How has Kimbo uji power business grown? The entrepreneur disclosed that the number of clients frequenting her business has significantly grown. “I have gotten more clients as well as trainees. Young people saw my story and were inspired to learn about the business,” she told TUKO.co.ke. However, Alice admitted that she has limited space and can only take two trainees at a time. The businesswoman admitted that the business is good and plans to open another outlet along Thika Road. “I have not calculated how much we made in February, but I expect more.” Aside from the increased clientele base, Alice said her enterprise had expanded. “We grew from one stall to two. We have also acquired an outdoor area to accommodate more clients,” she said. The young lady disclosed that she dreams of purchasing a vehicle by the end of 2024. “I bought a plot of land and believe I will drive this year.” Alice noted that she has no qualms teaching young people for fear of competition. “I believe that God blesses everyone. Even if my trainee opens a similar business next to me, we will all get clients. Life is not about competing but helping each other grow.” She encouraged young people by saying: “The government has established technical schools in most counties. Get the skills and utilise them to earn a living.” How much does Kimbo uji power seller make? In January, Alice estimated that her daily sales were around KSh 10,000. However, after paying her employees, rent, power and other expenses, her income stood around KSh 128,000. She also shared the recipe for making sweet uji power.
