Kevin Kang'ethe's Relative Shares Intriguing Details of How He Escaped from Custody: "Inside Job"

 

Details have emerged on how murder suspect Kevin Kang'ethe Kinyanjui staged a dramatic escape from Muthaiga Police Station. Kevin Kang'ethe had been detained at the Muthaiga Police Station. Kang'ethe was rearrested on Tuesday, February 13, at an apartment in Ngong where he had gone to visit a close relative. Who helped Kevin Kang'ethe escape from custody? Speaking to Citizen TV, the relative narrated the discussions he had with Kang'ethe a few minutes before the police arrested him. He disclosed that Kang'ethe, accused of murdering his girlfriend in the United States of America, hinted to him that his escape from Muthaiga Police Station was an inside job. Kang'ethe disclosed to the relative that the escape was a big thing that he could not have pulled off without the help of officers at the station. "Hakuniambia exactly, but it was a big thing yaani ni kama inside job, yaani kitu kama hiyo, pia ameelezea OCPD wa Ngong,” the relative said. Details of 3 visitors at Muthaiga Police Station Kang'ethe's disappearance was well-planned days before his escape, and it started when three people visited him on Tuesday, February 6, claiming to be his relatives.  The three visitors allegedly brought him a mobile phone that would help him once he got free. The following day, a person claiming to be his lawyer visited him at the station, and they were allowed to talk outside the cell During that moment with the lawyer, Kang’ethe mysteriously left the police station and boarded a matatu on the busy Thika Superhighway.
