Kenyans Intrigued by Trendy, Tattooed High School Teacher: "Ningepata A”

 

A female teacher is steadily gaining traction on social media courtesy of her antics. Tabby Wothaya is a high school teacher.  Why did trendy teacher captivate Kenyans? Tabby Wothaya, a high school teacher, goes against some traditional Kenyan societal expectations of how a teacher should act or look. It all started when a video of her celebrating missing a class surfaced on social media.  Dressed in a formal black dress and matching heels, Tabby danced after learning that her lesson had been cancelled.  "When you are told your afternoon lessons are cancelled as students have a talk," she captioned the clip. With a book in hand, she rhythmically moved to a dancehall song next to a classroom. Many Kenyans were impressed by her ways, as others wished they had such a teacher in high school.
