Economist David Ndii claps back at body-shammers with no chills
Economist David Ndii was the subject of internet trolls on Thursday, February 22, after his photo walking beside President William Ruto was shared online.
In the picture, the top economist was strolling together with President Ruto in Naivasha where they were attending the National Executive Retreat.
Many of the comments were those comparing his current weight to before.
Ndii who is the Chair of the Presidential Council of Economic Advisors, addressed Kenyans telling off body shamers.
"To be overweight is a remediable personal challenge of little or no consequence to the general public. To be empty-headed is an incurable societal burden. Ũrimũ ndũrĩ ndawa. To have so many imbeciles with nothing better to talk on a public platform is a national tragedy,"
Many other infamous Twitter bigwigs also weighed in on his body weight and tickled Kenyans as they speculated why Ndii was much bigger.
Mutahi Ngunyi had said;
"Leave David Ndii ALONE. It is the LAMB CHOPS at State House and a good appetite. My tummy was BIGGER when I was a resident there!"
Other critics included Francis Gaitho who is known to speak his mind, on topical matters such as the economy.
Gaitho also poked fun at himself as he too is the same size as Ndii. This was after Kenyans also called him out for speaking on Ndii's weight.
