The world is still shock following the sudden demise of Peter Anthony Morgan who was the lead singer of award-winning ragger Group Morgan Heritage.
Peter passed away on Sunday Night, according to a family statement. Following the untimely demise, we have managed to get hold of Peter’s family details – marriage life and the number of kids he had.
Peter “Peetah” Anthony Morgan was survived by his wife Maria Gunabe-Morgan, 11 children, and 2 grandchildren.
“We appreciate your continued love and support. We just need a little time as we gather ourselves as a family, but we’ll be in touch soon,” the family told Mpasho.
Peetah was born on July 11th, 1977 in Brooklyn, New York before the family moved back to Jamaica.
He was fathered by legendary Jamaican Reggae singer Denroy Morgan who died in March 2022 following a long battle with cancer.
Peetah was among 30 children sired by Denroy.
He and seven of his siblings formed Morgan Heritage in 1994 but two of his siblings left the group after a while.
Peetah and his siblings are three-time Grammy-winning artists but he is best known for hits like ‘Don’t Haffi Dread To Be Rasta’ ‘Down By The River’ ‘ She’s Still Loving Me’ among others.
Peetah died aged 46.
