Diamond Platnumz’s younger sister Esma Khan tied the knot on Thursday night at a private Islamic ceremony.
Esma is now the wife of Tanzanian talent manager Jembe One.
The event was attended by Diamond and Esma’s mother, Mama Dangote, Esma’s kids, and her close family members.
Speaking just minutes before the marriage ceremony, the groom said he was ready to have Esma as his wife.
“I am ready, I’m going into the Mosque right now for the marriage rites.”
A week before the wedding, Jembe described Esma as his destiny.
This is Esma Platnumz’s second marriage. She was married as a third wife to Tanzanian businessman Msizwa but their marriage only lasted months.
Speaking to the media after her failed first marriage, Esma said she had made the decision to get married without thinking it through.
(I was in a hurry, I didn’t give myself time to reflect on the person I was getting married to.)
She added that the pandemic played a big part in it.
(It was corona time and I was stressed, when he came, I thought I won a jackpot. I don’t want to make wrong decisions that I had made before.)
“Mimi ni mwanamke nahitaji kuolewa, nahitaji hesima yangu. Kidini, ndoa ni lazima.” (I am a woman who needs to get married, I need my respect back. Religiously, its a must for me to get married)
