How police traced Kevin Kang’ethe to Ngong On Wednesday, February 7, the fugitive mysteriously disappeared from police custody, setting the stage for a spirited search by detectives. At some point, the detectives arrested his brother on suspicion that he engineered Kang’ethee’s escape. After six days of searching, the suspect was arrested at an apartment in Ngong, where he had gone to visit a close relative. After his arrest, it emerged that, since he escaped from custody, he was hiding at a family-owned farm in Ngong. Detectives discovered that Kang’ethe used to stay at the farm during the day and only visit his close relatives and friends at night. Citizen TV shared a video clip showing the house where the suspect had been hiding since he escaped. The house made of mabati is secluded and has only one wooden-made door and window.
