Former BBC Africa presenter Ciru Muriuki popularly known as The Millennial Mentor has finally broken the silence after the sudden and shocking demise of her fiance veteran actor and legendary rapper Charles Ouda.
The whole nation was rocked after news of Charlie’s death was announced over the weekend with the entertainment industry and his fans at large sharing photos and videos of their time with the iconic creative eulogizing him.
All this time, Ciru remained mum mourning the loss of her soon-to-be husband. The digital content creator has however posted for the first time since Charlie’s demise was made public.
On her Instagram stories, the former NTV journalist shared an adorable video of Charlie just being his usual bubbly and lovely soul. Ciru, who also appears in the video could be seen blowing kisses as they both waved bye to the camera person.
The two (Ciru and Charlie) appeared joyous and lively while at a restaurant in the company of a few friends. Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again’ could be heard playing in the video that Ciru chose to share on her Instagram stories.
The video, which is her only post since the news broke was posted by budding TV and Film actress and script writer Michelle Kimani.
Captioning the video of Ciru and the late ‘Makutano Junction’ actor Michelle in part wrote, “You were literally the man everyone looked up to.
You were so welcoming, spoke positivity to me and every Gen Z actor out there. This is a sad moment not just for me but for everyone in the film industry. You were a role model! You were loved by many! Charlie, you will be missed terribly 😭😭
Thank you for the good times we shared on set and during the masterclasses. THIS HIT HARD! 💔 I am Heartbroken. So heartbroken 😓Thank you for every opportunity you gave me ❤️. I will always remember you. Heaven gained an angel for sure 🕊️Rest in power Charlie ❤️😓,”
Charles Ouda’s death was announced by fellow thespian Mkamzee Mwatela with a message from Ciru and the Ouda family which read as follows;
“It is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles ‘Charlie’ J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki inform you of his passing on the night of 3rd February 2024.
He was a beloved son, brother and friend. Charlie was 38 years old. We appeal to all to give his fiancée Ciru, and the Oudas space to grieve this unfathomable loss.
More details will be given in due course. Once again, we urge all to respect the privacy of those involved. Statement issued on behalf of the Oudas and Ciru Muriuki.”
