Willy Paul’s Cautionary Message for Women: Hard Work Over Shortcuts

Kenyan artist Willy Paul has taken to social media with a message for women, urging them to prioritize hard work and honest living over the allure of shortcuts and social pressures. In a post, he warned against the dangers of taking the “easy way,” citing potentially severe consequences, even death.

“Women, attending every party like this is not necessary; if you don’t have money, just stay at home. Avoid friends who tempt you with offers such as carpooling.

Don’t let the pressure of social media affect you. Go out there and work hard the right way. Taking shortcuts will shorten your life. It’s not too late to start over,”

He specifically addressed the pressure to attend every party and the temptation of seemingly “luxurious” offers from friends. His words come amidst the tragic news of socialite Starlet Wahu’s murder, highlighting the potential pitfalls of chasing online portrayals of wealth and instant gratification.

While Paul’s previous comments about “broke women” were criticized for their stereotyping and lack of context, this message focuses on empowering women through independent hustle. He encourages them to avoid social media’s pressure cooker and build their lives with hard-earned success, suggesting it’s never too late to choose a different path.
