Sylvia Ssaru hailed as the next big thing after Ezekiel Mutua reconcilliation

 

Kenyan singer Sylvia Ssaru, known for her hit "Summer Bunny," is being hailed as the next big thing in Kenyan music.

The rapper recently resolved her differences with former KFCB Boss Ezekiel Mutua, who had criticized her music for its lyrics.

The reconciliation took place at an event hosted by MCSK, where Ssaru and Mutua hugged on stage, signaling the end of their feud.

Ssaru shared her thoughts on the encounter, stating, "Today was a good day, I met Daktari na amesema mambo yetu iko sawa💯✌️."

SSARU AND MUTUA HUG AFTER FEUD

In 2023, Mutua accused Ssaru of prioritising likes and numbers over morally sound music, expressing concern about the negative influence on young Kenyans.

Ssaru responded firmly, stating, "I cannot stop creating songs just because one person didn’t like the lyrics or the song. He should, in fact, check out my YouTube channel," and urged Mutua to explore her other creations.

Ssaru recently received recognition from Apple Music, being featured as one of Africa’s most exciting rising stars of 2024 for her song "Panda Ile."

The announcement was part of Apple Music’s Africa Rising Class of ‘24, with Ssaru joining Xerniah Manasseh, Karun, and Breeder LW on the emerging list.
