Divisions are rocking the Mt Kenya political setting as different factions align to back their preferred leader to succeed President William Ruto. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro. The duo is now being fronted as equal competition as regards the kingpinship of Mt Kenya. By virtue of him being deputy president, it had been apparent that Rigathi Gachagua would automatically take over the mantle of Mt Kenya's political leadership. With respect to that, Gachagua had engineered efforts to rally the region behind him away from former president Uhuru Kenyatta. While Nyoro might not have shown interest in the headship of the populous region, some of his colleagues believe he fits the bill.
