Kenyan Woman Happily Married to Mjengo Guy She Met at Parents’ Construction Site: “He Had Vision”

Christine, the wife of top Kenyan motoring MC Dennis Murimi alias Dennoh Spinner, has opened up on their relationship. Dennoh Spinner and his wife Christine shared the secrets to a happy marriage.  How did Dennoh Spinner meet wife? They met when Spinner worked as a casual labourer at her parents’ construction site. Despite their gaping social status, she stuck by him. “As time passed, I realised he had visions and dreams. He was broke but was not just sitting around. I decided to give him a chance and see where it goes," she told TUKO.co.ke. . However, Christine admitted that her parents opposed the relationship. “I was a student, and they wanted me to finish school first. My hubby was also not financially stable, and according to their standards, they feared I wouldn’t get the life they envisioned for me.” Spinner finally won them after getting a job and starting a profitable business. Christine weighed in on the assumption that most young women nowadays only date moneyed men. “Everybody has a choice. Whatever works for me is not what works for you. You might find someone who is very rich, but they are very frustrated in life. Before settling with a man, ask yourself if you want to be with them even if the money runs out. Compatibility is also important- as long as your goals are aligned and you are also friends, it doesn’t matter who has money.”  How do the two lovebirds spice up their relationship? “We take breaks from our day-to-day life and children. We do staycations or go to restaurants and talk about our relationship. We also communicate much about our feelings and everything else.” Christine also noted that being intentional is critical to a happy marriage. “When your partner doesn’t call you, put aside your ego and call them. That one call might change their day.” Why did Dennoh Spinner work at mjengo? Dennoh previously shared how he struggled for a while after losing his job. According to Dennoh, he left for Qatar for work but was fired. He had no choice but to return to Kenya and do mjengo, trying to figure out his next move.
