Aerodrome: Photos of Uhuru Kenyatta's Private Airport at Northlands Farm Rattle Kenyans

 

Kenyans on social media have been rattled by images of a private-owned airport linked to former president Uhuru Kenyatta's family. The runway at Northlands Airport is said to be 2–2.5km. TUKO.co.ke has established that the images were taken in the heart of Northlands City, which is associated with Kenyatta's family. The building, identified as Northlands Aerodrome and as a domestic airport, can easily be spotted on Google Maps. . A functioning runway at the airport enables private aircraft and jets to land. An unmarked structure, thought to be an aircraft hangar, is located at the end of the runway. Some Kenyans who saw the photos praised the former president for his retirement-era accomplishments, calling the construction of his airport a generational asset. Others poured cold water on the multi-billion project.
