Abel Mutua: I have never been asked for my CV in my 16-yr career

Journalist Larry Madowo of CNN recently disclosed that he performed poorly on his KCSE but has gone on to achieve success in life.

Along with the journalists, actor and creative director Abel Mutua has encouraged people who just took the KCSE but did not pass with flying colours.

Mutua stated this in a recent interview with media personality Kalondu Musyimi where he said,

"Larry! knew from the word go that he was a communicator. So as long as his Kiswahili or English, was good. That was all he wanted. All those other subjects were just details tu. Tell me where is Larry using Chemistry right now?"

"But because English yake ilikuwa fiti, I’m so sure that even if he failed, his English marks were good. That is all he needed,” Mutua shared.

He added "Mimi up to this very moment, I have never been asked for my papers anywhere. There is no place I have ever taken my CV like this since I began my work, that was in 2008 to date, that is 16 years. I have never been asked for my CV."

He explained why;

"And that's because the thing about craft is that, in class, you read very few relatable content. The thing that I do now, there is nothing that I read in class that I am benefitting from. That’s why it is useless to ask me for papers. So I understand Larry Madowo."
