Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee, has taken to social media to show her philanthropic side again. Akothee and the young girl she sponsored, Sharon. The businesswoman noted she does a lot of good work off-camera, handling numerous cases not exposed to the public. Akothee invites young girl to her home Akothee slammed those who did not receive help to avoid discouraging others from seeking assistance. She narrated an incident where a needy mother approached her, asking for help to take her daughter to school. “Yesterday, Sharon was enrolled at Kanyaserega Secondary School. Her mother approached me requesting KSh 5,000 to purchase uniforms for her daughter to attend day school. Upon observing Sharon, I recognized a brighter future for this girl. Consequently, I asked her mother to bring her to my home along with her belongings and acceptance letter,” she narrated. Akothee shops for stranded student A couple of days later, Sharin and her mother arrived at Akothee’s home, where Akothee stated she had retained custody of the girl. Akothee contacted the principal of Kanyaserega Secondary School, who was more than willing to meet them. “Subsequently, I took Sharon shopping and settled her into school. Her mother is employed at Akothee Academy, enabling her to provide for her other siblings. Let’s remember to appreciate the kindness of givers, as takers know no boundaries,” Akothee said.
