Tharaka Nithi: 55 Students Storm Out of School, Accuse Principal of Being too Strict

Tharaka Nithi county: Students from Kaarani Mixed Secondary School have protested the alleged strict regulations by their new principal. Police said no property was destroyed during the incident.  What police report said about Tharaka Nithi incident Citizen Digital reported that 55 boys stormed out of the school on Saturday, January 19, in protest of the rules introduced by the principal, who joined the school in October 2023.  The police report indicates that the boys passed through a barbed wire fence and are yet to report back to the said school. According to the report, no property was destroyed by the protesting students during the incident. “The officers managed the situation. No property destroyed nor injury reported reported so far,” the report reads. The police assured that the remaining 75 girls and 12 boys who remained in school have resumed normal learning schedules.
