15 Killed as Classic Kings Bus Collides with North Ways Shuttle in Mau Summit

At least 15 people have died in a road crash at the Twin Bridge area along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. The scene of the road accident involving a bus and a shuttle matatu. What happened in Mau Summit accident? The Tuesday, January 9, road accident that occurred at about 2:45am involved a bus belonging to Classic Kings of Congo and the North Ways shuttle. In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) said its officers from Mau Summit Police Station were responding to the scene. The injured were rushed to Molo Sub-county Hospital. “The National Police Service is appealing to all motorists to exercise extreme caution on our roads to prevent road crashes,” the statement reads in part. Kuresoi North police boss Judah Gathenge said all passengers in the matatu, which was heading to Nairobi, lost their lives. The bus was travelling from Nairobi to Kampala, Uganda. The deceased include eight adults and seven children, among them five girls and two boys. Members of the Kenya Red Cross joined the Nakuru county fire brigade, the county ambulance, and the Kenya Police at the site.
