An Eldoret woman charged with stabbing her estranged husband to death has a case to answer, an Eldoret Court has ruled.
While delivering his ruling, the Presiding Judge, Justice Reuben Nyakundi said the evidence presented before him by the state counsel is enough to place the accused, Winnie Maina, 35 on her defence in connection with the killing of Wycliffe Miriti, 33.
The Judge delivered his ruling after the prosecution closed its case last month. The prosecution lined up more than 10 witnesses among them her landlord, a police officer attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and a G4S security guard who testified against her in the case.
She is charged with killing her husband, Wycliffe Miriti in cold blood at their Elgon View house on the outskirts of Eldoret town on the night of August 21, 2022, in Uasin Gishu county.
