The major thing Fireboy hates about being a celeb is a hobby to many
Nigerian multi-award-winning singer and songwriter Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan popularly known by his stage name, Fireboy DML is opening up on the one thing he detests most about being a celebrity and no, it's not the usual lack of privacy or paparazzi issues.
The YBNL record signee while speaking in an interview with Nigerian radio presenter Do2tun on Cool FM, got candid about the parts he truly disliked when it came to his career as an entertainer.
Fireboy started by ascertaining that he loves his job and it fuels him however, he hates all the long hours of flying/ traveling and socializing that comes with being an artist.
"I love what I do, but I don't like the process. I love that my work takes me places, but the process of traveling? No. I don't even like going out and interacting with people that much.
So having to submit my passport and all those things don't appeal to me," the 'Peru' hitmaker expressed candidly.
The 27-year-old Afrobeat star went on to touch on the tremendously successful tour that he recently had in Australia (back in October 2023,) which consisted of three shows.
It kicked off with a performance at Promiseland in Gold Coast on September 30, 2023. Subsequently, Fireboy headlined at two consecutive sold-out shows.
The tour involved a lot of traveling and pit-stops, showcasing his talent across different locations.
Touching on the tour, Fireboy revealed immediately he got back to his home country his body demanded he takes a break and that is when it truly dawned on him how draining traveling really is.
"It was a very crazy trip, long and far. When I got back, I was like, 'You know what? I need to take a break from traveling.' I took like two days off and decided to stop," the Nigerian artist opened up.
