Tanzanian Bride Who Died in Accident Buried on Her Wedding Day: "Alitarajia Kufunga Ndoa Leo"

 

Groom to be in a mourning procession Amani, the prospective groom, found himself bearing the heavy burden of grief as he carried the symbolic cross of his beloved on the day they were supposed to exchange vows. The sorrowful scene unfolded in the Mwanga district of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, where the community had gathered to witness a celebration turn into a sombre farewell. "Msiba huu tumeupokea in a negative way kama ambavyo hakuna mtu anayeweza kupokea msiba in a positive way," said Amani. Amani, originally poised to celebrate his union with Rehema on December 2 in Arusha, instead found himself in a procession of mourning. How did the accident happen? The tragic incident occurred on November 29 when the vehicle, a Raum, driven by Amani, collided with a lorry in the Kichwa cha Ng'ombe area. The desperate attempt to avoid a pothole led to the devastating crash,. It claimed not only the life of the bride but also resulted in the tragic loss of Amani's mother, Agnes Chao (75), and a 15-year-old girl named Irene Shija, who worked as a helper.  Detain Body As Amani Mollel carried the weight of the situation—both literally and figuratively became the symbol of a community grappling with profound grief. Man is found dead a day to wedding In a related story, Fredrick Gitau was to wed his lover on Saturday, August 26, but that would not materialise as his life was cut short a day before the event. He was to tie the knot with Joyce Waithira, his long-time fiance. They had even taken their Facebook followers through the countdown to their big day. "With the blessing of God and our parents, we joyously invite you to witness and celebrate the blessings of our marriage," read their digital card. The nuptials would, however, be impeded by Gitau's mysterious death on Friday, August 25.
