Sad backstory that led to viral nanny Rosie leaving her 3 kids to work in Lebanon
Kenyan nanny, Roseline ‘Rosie’ Atieno went viral the other day when a video of her emotional farewell from the family she was working for in Lebanon went viral.
In an interview with Pancras Karema, CEO of Expeditions Maasai Safaris the mom of 3 has now opened up on why she decided to leave Kenya for the Levante in the first place.
“I cried because I had mixed feelings about meeting my kids after two years and leaving kids I had taken care of for two years who treated me like their parents."
On why she had had to leave her kids back home for such a long time, Rosy disclosed that she had exited a marriage that was not working and thus needed to go to the Middle Eastern country for better opportunities.
“I went in October 2021, and at that time, I was in a marriage that was not working, and I decided to go there and find greener pastures to be able to give my kids a good life,” she explained.
God answered the prayer she had asked the Almighty for her to be situated with a great family as she and the Lebanese family clicked instantaneously.
She added that the children had filled the void that she was missing for her own kids back home.
“The first experience with the family when we met at the airport, the mother of the kids just said, ‘Wow’ when she saw me. We blended from the first day."
She also revealed that the foreign country felt like home to her and that she hadn't set a date for going back although she would still work with the same family until the kids children were a bit older.
In other Rosie-related news, the mom of 3 touched hearts with another heartwarming video where she proudly displayed her adorable kids online.
In the cute TikTok video, Rosie had on a stunning dress as she sat beside her good-looking biological kids.
