Nairobi: Standoff at Mbagathi Hospital as Robbery with Violence Suspect Disappears for Hours
A suspect in a robbery with violence case has been rearrested hours after attempting to escape from the Mbagathi Hospital. How did the suspect escape? According to security guards manning the hospital, the man had requested to use the restroom, where he seized the opportunity to remove his Arsenal t-shirt and wear a reflector to conceal his identity and dodge the warders. He was apprehended at the main gate of the hospital while on his way out. Guards who nabbed him told TUKO.co.ke that the man looked suspicious, which made them curious to inquire about his whereabouts. "He was bare-chested, which raised suspicions. He also panicked when we ordered him to stop," said one of the guards. At that moment, the guards who had escorted the suspect to the facility were frantically searching for the culprit, moving swiftly throughout the area. "Hao mafisa wamelia sisi ndio tumewashikia apo, (Prison warders have been crying all along; it is we who caught the man after seeing how unsettled he was)," the guard said.
