Nyanchama Mangera is accused of attempting to kill Filbert Nzoyisaba on Saturday, December 2, at her house in Kaloleni estate. The 27-year-old woman allegedly stabbed Nzoyisaba in the head and abdomen during a 2am encounter in her house after he broke in. A report by Nation revealed that Mangera threw away the knife, rushed to Makongeni Police Station, and reported that the victim was lying outside her house. She made it clear that he was a stranger to her. The widowed mother of two claimed during investigations that she was asleep when she heard commotion at the gate, but as she was about to find out, Nzoyisamba was in her house. Mangera said she armed herself with a knife and asked the intruder to identify himself, but he kept walking towards her. She stabbed him, forcing him to try to escape from the house, but he fell on the doorstep, bleeding. Nzoyisaba's brother arrived at the scene after being informed of the incident and found that he had been taken to hospital. He took him to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital. How did Mangera plead in court Appearing before Principal Magistrate Irene Gichobi of the Makadara Law Courts, Mangera denied the charges against her and was released on a KSh 300,000 bond. The police informed the prosecution that they were yet to record Nzoyisaba's statement as he was unable to speak when they visited the hospital. Pictures of his injuries while in hospital have been listed as exhibits in the case. Kitale woman wrestles robber Elsewhere, Samwel Kamau, the proprietor of Kanana Shop, and his wife, Caroline Nafula, were about to close their shop when an armed robber accosted them. According to a police statement seen by TUKO.co.ke, the robber, armed with a G3 rifle, instructed the duo to hand over the day's sales to him. Nafula surrendered, raised her hands and went out of the shop. On the other hand, Kamau remained in the shop while his hands were up, too. The robber then fired one round of ammunition between the legs of the lady. Immediately, she heroically wrestled the robber, and the firearm slipped from his hands and fell. The husband rushed and picked up the gun and locked it in his car.
