Lamu: Man Abducted In Front of His Wife, Killed and Body Dumped Near His House

 

Police in Lamu county have launched investigations into the alleged murder of a 48-year-old man in Poromoka area. Lamu County Commissioner Luis Rono said police are investigating the incident. Who reported Muthemi Funga's abduction? Citizen Digital reported that the man, identified as Muthemi Funga, was abducted in his home by unknown assailants on Tuesday, November 5.  According to the police report, Muthemi was abducted in front of his wife and children. The wife reported the incident at Kibaoni Police Station, where officers conducted a search in the area and discovered Muthemi's dead body near Jima Forest, which is near his home. Lamu County Commissioner Luis Rono said the incident was a criminal case and not related to terrorism. ''This is not a terror-related case; we are fully committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice and restoring a sense of security to the affected community,'' Rono said.
