KPLC: Areas to be affected by power outages today
The Kenya Power and Electricity Company (KPLC) has warned of power outages in several areas in the country on Thursday, December 7.
In a statement on Wednesday evening, the company announced that some areas of six counties in Kenya will be without electricity between three in the morning and five in the evening.
The counties that will be affected include Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Kajiado. In Nairobi county, several parts of Saika, Langata and GSU areas will be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and five in the evening.
Parts of Ikinu, Githiga, Munyu, Komo and Kamuthi in Kiambu county will also lack electricity between 3:00 am and 5:00 pm.
In Machakos county, parts of Kyumbi and Mombasa Road areas will also be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and five in the evening.
At the same time, parts of Blueline, Kakret, Kiamariga and Gitunduti areas in Nyeri county are also expected to be without electricity.
Parts of the towns of Sagana, Kagio and Kiadongu in Kirinyaga county will also be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and ten in the afternoon.
In Kajiado county, parts of Namanga and Bissil areas will be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and five in the evening.
