No woman ever gets pregnant hoping to miscarry.
But as life would have it, some women end up miscarrying for different reasons
While some have opted to keep their battles silent, some have opted to share their journeys in the hope of encouraging others.
Below are celebs who opened up about suffering miscarriages in the past
Deborah Kimathi
Deborah who ias who is wife to TV personality DJ Moz.
During an interview with Kambua,Debz as she is fondly know revealed she had suffered three miscarriages at different points in her marriage.
She currently has three kids.
Kambua
In her Youtube show 'Being Kambua' the 'Usiku Na Mchana' hitmaker said she had undergone a miscarriage before she gave birth to her firstborn.
"We were trying to have a child and I had started to get a little anxious so I would mention it in safe spaces with my sisters, with my mother, I would hint at it," she said.
She said she relaxed and would take it a day at a time, "But people start to ask or to hint, conversations in social gathering, what are you waiting for."
Kambua remembers a heavily pregnant woman who told her to hurry and get pregnant
"Ukipata ball you will be so marketable," she was told.
"At this point, she didn't even realize the struggle I was having mentally, emotionally and the fact that we had started trying for a little while and nothing was happening."
Kambua said she was listening to her body would think she was pregnant.
"Every time I got my period I remember the disappointment. Because sometime pre-menstural symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms can be very similar."
The first time she tested positive for pregnancy she sat down and cried, "Because for the first time in years, I've gotten a positive pregnancy test, I could not believe it."
"I remember my husband kneeling to Thank God because it was an answered prayer."
Everything was going great but when she was eight weeks pregnant going to nine weeks, there was no heartbeat.
"I remember the doctor saying 'Kambua, I'm sorry there is no heartbeat."
She explained that she had to undergo procedures to clean the uterus.
Lynne
Lynne, Eric Omondi's girlfriend, lost their first pregnancy barely a year ago.
In an interview with blogger Mungai Eve, Lynne explained that it was a challenging period for her and that she wanted to reclaim her status as a mother as soon as possible.
She claimed that this gave her the drive to become pregnant again right away.
She happily announced that, just three weeks after her initial miscarriage, she had successfully conceived her second child, for which she held a gender reveal event last weekend.
"When we lost our first child, I had a great desire to find a replacement. I used to feel that I am not complete anymore because I was starting a new page in life and then suddenly I came back to the page I had left.
I wanted to be a mother so I said I will give myself time, maybe I will start looking for a child after a month or two months, I did not expect that I would be pregnant but God gave it to me after three weeks," Lynne said emphasizing that she did not know that she was pregnant.
The couple currently has a daughter who is barely a year old.
Dela Gata
Dela Gata and his wife Shirley Howard in 2023 shared with their fans the unfortunate details of the miscarriage of their son.
The wife recounted how she and her husband were excited about the pregnancy to the point Gata had started giving her nicknames.
"...Dela Gatta could always called me mamake kamau (kamau is his father name) even nicknamed me Mama junior..."
The young lady went on to narrate the pain she went through after the loss with no to tell how she was feeling.
"....Losing my unborn boy crashed me… watching as disappeared in a pool of blood caused me unexplainable pain Dela also could look at me smiling to comfort me but tears dropped on his chee...."
She went on to explain how much that time was trying for them as a couple - they tried to just be strong even though they were hurting.

People in the comments section took to comfort her and her husband over their loss.
King Kaka
Kenyan rapper King Kaka has for the first time talked about his wife Nana Owiti losing a child.
Sharing his experience in his new song 'Atanishindia' featuring Watendawili, Kaka says the loss brought with it a lot of tears.
"Bearer of good news. You just missed a P's.

He went on to share how they received the news of their loss

In the past Nana, who is a mother of two disclosed that she had been walking around with a dead fetus for 5 weeks.
Nasra Yusuf
Nasra Yusuf and her now ex husband had both taken to their socials to announce their pregnancy news a few weeks before the miscarriage.
They shared a photo of themselves flaunting the results of a pregnancy test. Nasra Yusuf accompanied the photo with a caption explaining how happy she was over the news.
"This is the happiest I have been in a long time. I'm in love with a woman I haven't met yet... can't wait to meet you my baby...imagine having a child with the love of your life. I love you @director_rashid" she wrote.
Rashid Abdalla was also over the moon speaking about how God had answered their prayers.
Grace Ekirapa
Grace Ekirapa and Pascal Tokodi suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in June 2021.
They revealed this in a video the couple posted on Pascal’s YouTube channel.
“It has been a tough journey...we are here now giving thanks. This is our second try, we lost our first try around June. It was hard...but we are here again and we thank God, with 8 months now...we’re going to 9 months...we are hoping for many more years. And thank you so much for being with us today,” Pascal Tokodi narrated.
The couple currently have a daughter.
