Early kick-off for AFC Leopards in Elijah Lidonde Cup semis
AFC Leopards will commence their Elijah Lidonde Cup defense this Saturday at noon at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County.
The four-team tournament will include Mulembe United, Kakamega Homeboyz, and 2022 finalist Nzoia Sugar.

AFC Leopards are set to face National Super League side Mulembe United at noon in the opening match of the campaign.
Both teams are encountering challenges in their respective leagues, with AFC Leopards having won just two matches in the FKF Premier League's opening 15 games, and Mulembe United securing four victories in the National Super League's first 14 matches.
In the second match, Kakamega Homeboyz will play against fellow FKF Premier League side Nzoia Sugar, with the kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Homeboyz head to this match placed fourth in the FKF Premier League campaign while Nzoia Sugar are bottom in the league.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday, with the winners of the respective semi-final games competing in the final at Bukhungu Stadium.
The prize money for the tournament includes Ksh.1 Million for the winner, Ksh 500,000 for the runners-up, Ksh 250,000 for the third-position playoff winner, and Ksh 200,000 for the fourth-placed team.
AFC Leopards 2022 victory
In the 2022 edition, AFC Leopards emerged victorious, defeating Nzoia Sugar 8-7 in post-match penalties at Bukhungu Stadium.
The teams had settled for a goalless draw in normal time, leading to a penalty shootout where AFC Leopards' goalkeeper, Maxwell Mulili, played a crucial role in securing the win.
